20 Ropemaker Street

Overview

20 Ropemaker Street, valued at £240 million, is a significant addition to London’s commercial landscape, offering 419,093 sq ft of office space and 11,785 sq ft of ground level retail space.

Our installation partner Integral Cradles successfully completed the installation of three new Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) at 20 Ropemaker Street, a mixed-use commercial project developed by Skanska for Great Elms Assets Limited.

The installation involved the deployment of three BMUs, two of which were mounted on twin tracks and one utilising a guide track. The project team liaised with various trades to ensure the precise alignment and positioning of the guide rails for BMU C, overcoming several logistical challenges to deliver a successful outcome.

The BMUs are now in benefical use and continue to be maintained by the GIND UK team.

Skanska’s construction of the 25-storey of the 20 Ropemaker Street building included the installation of mechanical, electrical, and public health services. The scheme consists of 419,093 sq ft of office space and 11,785 sq ft of ground level retail space, further cementing the project’s status as a premier commercial hub in the heart of London.
