GIND UK provides user training at Angel Gardens

Angel Gardens 1

GIND UK, which delivers bespoke access systems and warrantied access maintenance at the world’s most iconic buildings, has been providing user training for the façade access solution installed in 2020 by installation partner Integral Cradles.

Angel Gardens, situated in the centre of Manchester opposite Victoria station, is a 35-storey tower made up of 466 apartments for rent. It boasts stunning interiors and state-of-the-art on-site amenities, which include a rooftop sports pitch, 24/7 gym, a library, residents’ lounge, flexible workspace area and a 24-hour concierge. The development also includes 20,000 square feet of commercial space.

Integral Cradles and GIND UK work together to provide a whole-lifecycle solution at tall buildings that require a façade access system. This includes bespoke system design, manufacture, testing and certification, installation and an ongoing maintenance package that suits each client’s plans and budget.

At Angel Gardens, Integral Cradles was employed to deliver a single-jib building maintenance unit (BMU) with a reach of 7.5 metres complete with a 700kg auxiliary winch. Using experienced design, installation and test and commissioning staff, this project was delivered on time and within budget. This project demonstrates our ability to successfully deliver and maintain projects not just in London but nationwide.

GIND UK has been providing warrantied maintenance of the BMU since November 2020. Its team has been on site this week to carry out user training of the façade access system. This is a vital part of GIND UK’s service, allowing other operatives to use the system safely and effectively to maintain the façade of the 35-storey tower.
